New Years Celebrations

Merry Holiday Season everyone! You’d think that this would be the time of year when things start to slow down in the music biz, but the little Groundswell elves are working at a feverish pace getting plans ready for the last few weeks of 2011 and the first few months of 2012. No rest for the awesome…

Halifax friends, you will also be excited to learn we are playing on New Year’s Eve in Parade Square! We are opening the night (and television broadcast on ATV) at around 9:30 PM. This is a FREE show, come occupy the square with us. Carleton guarantees no dirty underwear will be hanging on trees. Also are the bill are Three Sheet and The Mellotones. We like both of those bands A LOT, so you should too.

I FINALLY HAVE AN ONLINE STORE !! You can buy my new album and my new t-shirts. Check it out HERE if that’s the kinda thing you are into.

Next year is going to jam-packed with tons of shows, writing trips, and general amazing-ness. I’ll be heading to Nashville for a big-kid writing trip in mid-January, back to southern Ontario for a run of shows with Ladies of the Canyon and BFFs THE HEARTBROKEN, then more writing in Los Angeles in February and March. Holy frig. I’ll be sure to keep everyone updated through my Facebook Fanpage and on my Twitter, be sure to “like” or follow for all my exploits (DISCLAIMER: most tweets are pictures of delicious food, funny things and people, and late night epiphanies).

Big congratulations to Dawna Horton who won the draw for a house concert yesterday ! There will be more of those… That’s all for now, hope everyone has a great holiday season and see you in 2012 !!!

Home Base Updates

Hi Friends,

How are things with you in internet land? I am currently in Cape Breton, packing my bags once again to head back to Toronto this evening for some writing and shows. Had a great week home demo-ing new songs and sleeping. A LOT. Be jealous…

I’ve also created a Noise Trade page where you can download THREE songs from the new album. Share the link with your friends and leave a tip if you want!

Things have been so busy for the last few months, it was great to have some time to reflect on all the craziness and get ready for the next bunch of shows. Here’s where I’ll be in the next two weeks:

September 29th • Toronto, ON
Dakota Tavern @ 7PM ($8)

September 30th • Sudbury, ON
Townehouse Tavern with Tom Savage Trio

October 1st • Toronto, ON
Canada’s Walk of Fame, Metro Square @ 1:00PM

October 2nd • Hamilton, ON
This Ain’t Hollywood ($7)

October 7th • Charlottetown, PE
Hunter’s Alehouse with Tim Chaisson & the Morning Fold @ 10PM

When I get back, I have a one-off show with Jimmy Rankin, Halifax Pop Explosion, Nashville writing trip (!!!), Nova Scotia Music Week, then more shows around Atlantic Canada in November. funfunfun

Also, the new album has been out for a couple weeks, have you picked up yours yet? Check it out!  The response has been great so far, and we are ready to launch our radio campaign. We’ll be sure to let everyone know when they can request the single at their local station.

Thanks for all the support being shown so far regarding the release! Be sure to “like” Carleton Stone on Facebook or follow @carletonstone on Twitter to be connected with updates and random musings from my brain.
